# Gang Wars

Gang wars are a set limit of terms that are agreed upon by the leaders of all gangs involved, and the admins. These limits are done through discord, a temporary discord ticket will be created. Only the leaders and high command will be present. It is the responsibility of the leaders to keep their members informed of the terms. Any changes to terms must be included in the ticket as it happens to ensure both sides are following them.

* In the event of a gang war being declared, the limits to numbers and terms of the war can be agreed upon by both sides outside of the normal gang rules.
* All rosters must be up to date prior to the war declaration being agreed upon, and no new rostered members are to be included in the war until complete unless agreed upon by both sides.
* In order for the police department to adhere to their SOPs that relate to gang wars, they will be informed OOC.
* Gangs must set number limits on engagements, timeframe or goal for the war to end, and a cooldown for reengaging once the war is complete. Other terms can be agreed upon that are outside of the normal rules, and a list of terms must be provided in the ticket.
* If terms for the war are not satisfied within 7 days, the war declaration will end. The winner will be determined by a final 6 versus 6 skirmish, with terms and details to be set by city management.&#x20;
* If both sides are unable to come to specific terms, the default gang and violent crime rules will apply until terms are set.
* Should any of the terms be broken the punishment could be more severe. Both the direct offending player and the gang leader shall be under the threat of community strikes.
* Group numbers for the war are defined within the terms of the gang. The only rule that applies for this is the roster rule, as defined below.
* Under no circumstances shall any gang exceed a roster of 20 members and only officially rostered members are allowed to be a part of the war.
* If a gang is currently in an active war, only rostered gang members are allowed at the compound.
* Should the roleplay exist, other gangs may join the war, only if agreed upon within the written terms.
* If multiple gangs do exist, they still must follow the roster rule.
* If Kill on sight is agreed upon both parties must have clear gang identifiers with their clothing.
* Try to be mindful and keep wars out of businesses.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Conflict Engagement Cooldown** After engaging in conflict, the attacking group must wait 2 hours before initiating another attack—unless the defending group immediately retaliates against the original attackers. This rule is in place to prevent griefing. Each group is limited to a maximum of 3 fights per storm.<br>

**Police Response to Gang Shootouts**\
When responding to gang shootouts, police will make every effort to announce their presence using a megaphone, Air 1, lights, sirens, and other means. Once this announcement is made, a 10-minute timer begins. From that point, individuals have 10 minutes to leave the area before police enter to make arrests and collect evidence.\
Police will not pursue fleeing suspects unless they fire upon officers.&#x20;
